C W Fletcher C. W. Fletcher & Sons Limited is able to provide facilities to support the following processes:


  • C.N.C. and conventional milling up to 1.2 cubic metres
  • C.N.C. and conventional turning up to 1.3 metre diameter
  • Pressing up to 400 tonnes
  • Sheet metal work
  • Tube rolling
  • TIG and resistance welding
  • Surface coating
  • N.D.T. inspection

  • The processes are supported by a highly developed network of operational assistance suppliers.

    C. W. Fletcher & Sons Limited not only have a wide variety of conventional press capacity, but also offer special coining facilities, deep drawing and the capability to form intricate shapes in exotic materials. These facilities have also been supplemented by the introduction of C.N.C. punches and press brakes

    Our machine shop contains a high proportion of C.N.C. machines and includes simultaneous 5-axis machining centres and lathes to 1200mm swing. Our extensive CAD/CAM capability supports the machine shop by providing manufacturing information and D.N.C. facilities.

    The Company provides a wide range of additional facilities on site. These include heat treatment with quenching facilities, abrasive lapping, vibratory barrelling, vapour blasting, acid de-scaling, and the application of hard coatings and protective coatings. Furthermore we have access to an extensive network of audited and approved subcontractors to complement our own facilities.

    Stringent quality control procedures are used throughout the Company and we hold most approvals relevant to our industry. A wide range of techniques and facilities including co-ordinate measuring machines, boroscopes, pressure testing, dye penetrant crack detection and mechanical testing equipment support the Company's quality control procedures.

    C. W. Fletcher & Sons Limited has the facility to design and manufacture any tooling or fixtures that may be required. This is supported by our extensive CAD/CAM facilities, which also enable us to receive customers' data electronically.
